Management Drives: Understand what makes you and your team tick

When trying to solve strategic business and complex organisational challenges, constructing rational solutions is rarely the problem — people dynamics are. However, we often spend all our time solving practical issues, while it’s the irrational behaviour, resistance, or dysfunctional team dynamics that derail strategies, projects, or even entire teams. Or we don't use people's strenghts and miss out on the team's real potential. 

 

To help leaders and teams better understand the drivers behind their behaviour, I recently became a certified Management Drives coach. Management Drives profiles make those patterns visible.

 

Six drivers, one profile

Management Drives defines six core drivers, each represented by a colour — each reflecting a different type of motivation and leadership style. Most people show a mix, but typically have strong (often unconscious) preferences for some and resistance to others. Some drivers energise us; others deplete us. Understanding these patterns is a powerful asset for any leader or team.
